Linear Permanent Magnet Actuators

The tubular linear actuators by AE Group are a type of direct-drive permanent magnet electric motor that provides high forces directly to the payload. This creates the advantage that there is no need for a gearbox, slider-crank mechanism or any other type of transmission. In addition, the linear motor by AE Group has a high position accuracy, efficiency, power density and low maintenance. These actuators are unprecedented in industrial applications like product- and vibration testing, hexapod (Stewart platform) applications, robotics, factory automation and many more. The variation in motor size makes it possible to cover a wide range of output forces and linear motor speeds (see the graph below).
